Diamond Size: 1.00ct
A carat is the international unit used to measure the weight of a diamond or gemstone. One carat is equal to 200 milligrams, or 0.2 grams. This means a 5ct diamond will weigh 1 gram.
The diamond you have chosen weighs 1.00 carats and measures around 5.98×6.06×4.14mm. Remember, these measurements are only an estimation, as every diamond has unique attributes.
Colour: H
H coloured diamonds certificated by IGI are near colourless diamonds which still appear totally white or colourless if they are not compared side by side with higher colour grades. The H colour is generally considered to define the mark between colourless diamonds and slightly tinted diamonds, and as a result, the H colour is a very popular and good value for money option. Please note that in some cases, an IGI H colour might be comparable to a GIA I colour.
Clarity: VVS2
VVS2 graded diamonds certificated by IGI will generally have two tiny inclusions. The inclusions are not visible to the unaided eye and can only be located using a microscope (expert graders may be able to locate some VVS2 inclusion using a 10x magnification loupe). This clarity grade offers a very high level of clarity that is still very rare but less expensive price than a VVS1 or an IF.
Cut: Good
Good cut diamonds are cut to reflect most of a diamond’s brightness, fire and scintillation. The non-expert eye is unlikely to see a major difference between an Excellent cut and a Good cut diamond, as they will both sparkle brightly. However, a Good cut diamond will not reflect as much light as the Excellent cut diamond, and therefore typically does not command the same premium. The choice of cut must be balanced with other factors such as carat weight, colour and clarity.
